Tiger’s Eye is formed where the iron from
decomposed blue asbestos has oxidized to a brown color. The largest and most important mines are found in South
Africa. When cut, the surface of this stone display bands reminiscent of the eyes of a tiger, and hence the name.
When polished, the rich yellow and golden stripes produce a fine golden luster.
